CNAME Records in Shared Hosting
If you have a shared hosting plan through our company and you want to create a CNAME record, it will take you just a few mouse clicks to do it. You can access the DNS records for all domains and subdomains hosted inside your account via the Hepsia CP offered with every single plan and adding a new record is as basic as clicking on a button, selecting the type, which will be CNAME in this case, typing the actual record value and saving the modification. If you've never added this sort of record before, you will find a Help section with a detailed video tutorial which you can watch, or you can simply contact us and we'll assist you with this task. If you have set up an Internet site via another company, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you wish to designate a subdomain to be used with the services of a different provider, like Google Apps, all it takes is creating a CNAME record with a couple of clicks within your Control Panel.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you have a semi-dedicated server through our company and you would like to create a CNAME record, it takes no more than a few clicks to complete this task. The plans are handled using our in-house built Hepsia hosting CP where you will see a section dedicated to the DNS records of the domain names and subdomains hosted in the account. To set up a CNAME record, you will only have to pick the record type and the hostname (domain or subdomain), type in where the latter will be directed to and save the change. The new record is going to be active almost immediately in our system and will propagate worldwide within several hours. Modifying or deleting an existing CNAME record inside the account is just as simple and takes a click. In case you experience any problems, you can go through our detailed help article, watch the short video on the subject that we have added in the CP, or simply contact us for help.
